Vậy mà sau khá nhiều năm, Bùi Công Nam, từ khi mới xuất hiện trong mùa đầu tiên của Bài hát hay nhất cho đến khi được chú ý trở lại với một game show khác, lần này là Anh trai vượt ngàn chông gai, vẫn đều đặn làm nhạc Tết.

Có lẽ điều đáng yêu ở chỗ, hết thảy những quan sát này vốn là những lời ca thán Tết, những cảnh khiến người ta ngán ngẩm vì Tết hơn là yêu thích, chờ mong Tết.
Ấy nhưng, đặt tất cả những ca thán ấy vào những giai điệu tươi vui trong sáng, người ta lại muốn yêu luôn cả những bon chen tất bật của Tết.
Tết vỗ về và Tết đỉnh nóc
Vẫn chưa từ bỏ nhạc Tết, năm nay Bùi Công Nam đã có ít nhất hai ca khúc Tết. Tết vỗ về với Đông Nhi và Jun Phạm; và Tết đỉnh nóc với nhóm B.O.F gồm các “anh tài” Jun Phạm, Kay Trần, BB Trần và S.T Sơn Thạch.
Nếu chỉ nghe Tết vỗ về thì sẽ nghĩ Bùi Công Nam sắp hết ý tưởng về Tết mất rồi, khi từ âm nhạc đến lời ca trong Tết vỗ về bắt đầu đi vào lối mòn: niềm vui Tết, sự an ủi của Tết, sự đoàn viên dịp Tết.

Nhưng Tết đỉnh nóc lại là một nhạc phẩm thú vị hơn một chút, với phần mở đầu theo phong cách dân ca, rồi mở ra một không gian ballad nhẹ nhàng quen thuộc của Bùi Công Nam, và tích lũy dần thành một bản pop hừng hực năng lượng.
Mặc dù phần lời ca của Tết đỉnh nóc cũng có phần… hơi bí ý tưởng, lại vẫn xoay quanh deadline, lại vẫn xoay quanh chuyện thôi gác lại hết để về nhà ăn Tết bên gia đình, lại có những đoạn suy tư về một năm đã qua có bao nhiêu thăng trầm buồn vui.
Ta không còn thấy những lời trách móc “yêu” dịp Tết như trong những ca khúc trước của Bùi Công Nam, sự tương phản giữa nhạc và lời biến mất, khiến cho ca khúc trở nên phẳng hơn và trở thành một ca khúc nhạc Tết như rất nhiều ca khúc nhạc Tết.
Nhưng cũng không sao, vì chẳng phải “ca dao” tân thời có câu: “Tết này vẫn giống Tết xưa/Vẫn là con nít vẫn ưa lì xì”. Tết thì gần như năm nào cũng thế, và chẳng vì chuyện năm nào Tết cũng ngần ấy món, ngần ấy việc mà ta thôi hân hoan vì Tết. Cho nên, nếu nhạc Tết có lặp đi lặp lại thì cũng là chuyện thường.
