‘Chị Quyên’, vợ anh hùng Nguyễn Văn Trỗi qua đời

Bà Phan Thị Quyên sinh năm 1944 tại Campuchia, nguyên quán xã Văn Bình, huyện Thường Tín, TP Hà Nội.
Khi 16 tuổi, bà làm việc tại hãng bông Bạch Tuyết, nằm ở đường Võ Tánh (nay là đường Hoàng Văn Thụ). Tại đây, bà được một đồng nghiệp giới thiệu làm quen với anh hùng Nguyễn Văn Trỗi – lúc đó là thợ điện của nhà máy điện Chợ Quán.
Ngày 21/4/1964, bà Quyên và anh hùng Nguyễn Văn Trỗi tổ chức đám cưới.
Chưa đầy 20 ngày sau, anh hùng Nguyễn Văn Trỗi bị bắt. Đến tháng 8/1964, anh bị kết án tử hình và bị xử bắn tại nhà lao Chí Hòa.
Tháng 2/1965, bà Phan Thị Quyên tham gia đội biệt động 65 đóng tại Long An, rồi được điều chuyển về R (Trung ương Cục).
Tháng 3/1965, bà dự đại hội phụ nữ toàn miền Nam. Bà trở thành nhân vật trong cuốn “Sống như anh” của Trần Đình Vân, phóng viên báo Giải Phóng.
Đến tháng 5/1969, bà Quyên ra Bắc và đến năm 1973, bà lập gia đình mới.
Năm 1980, bà về công tác tại công ty Du lịch TP.HCM cho đến khi nghỉ hưu.
