Ngày 29-4, Bộ Công an đã tổ chức lễ công bố và trao quyết định của Thủ tướng về việc bổ nhiệm chức vụ thứ trưởng Bộ Công an đối với thiếu tướng Lê Quốc Hùng, phó chủ nhiệm thường trực Ủy ban kiểm tra Đảng ủy Công an trung ương và thiếu tướng Lê Tấn Tới, cục trưởng Cục Tổ chức cán bộ.
Thừa ủy quyền của Thủ tướng Chính phủ, Bộ trưởng Tô Lâm đã trao quyết định bổ nhiệm chức vụ thứ trưởng Bộ Công an đối với hai thiếu tướng.
Chúc mừng 2 thiếu tướng Lê Quốc Hùng và thiếu tướng Lê Tấn Tới, Bộ trưởng Tô Lâm đề nghị, trên cương vị mới của mình, hai tân thứ trưởng tiếp tục nêu cao tinh thần trách nhiệm, là những người lãnh đạo, chỉ huy xuất sắc, là tấm gương và chỗ dựa tin cậy để cán bộ, chiến sĩ học tập và noi theo;
Đoàn kết cùng tập thể Đảng ủy Công an trung ương, lãnh đạo Bộ Công an thực hiện tốt lời Bác Hồ dạy “Phải trau dồi đạo đức cách mạng, khiêm tốn, giản dị, gần gũi quần chúng và gương mẫu về mọi mặt. Dù ở cương vị nào, chúng ta cũng đều phải cố gắng để xứng đáng là người đầy tớ trung thành và tận tụy của nhân dân”.
Phát biểu tại buổi lễ, thứ trưởng Lê Quốc Hùng, thứ trưởng Lê Tấn Tới hứa sẽ tiếp bước truyền thống anh hùng của lực lượng Công an nhân dân, tiếp tục phấn đấu, tu dưỡng và không ngừng học hỏi kinh nghiệm của các thế hệ đi trước với tinh thần trách nhiệm cao nhất, đóng góp trí tuệ, góp phần xây dựng lực lượng Công an nhân dân ngày càng lớn mạnh, đáp ứng yêu cầu, nhiệm vụ bảo vệ an ninh quốc gia, đảm bảo trật tự, an toàn xã hội trong tình hình mới…
Như vậy đến nay Bộ Công an có tổng cộng 8 thứ trưởng gồm: Lê Quý Vương, Bùi Văn Nam, Nguyễn Văn Thành, Nguyễn Văn Sơn, Lương Tam Quang, Nguyễn Duy Ngọc, Lê Quốc Hùng và Lê Tấn Tới.
